Anyone want Killer Cuts?

Talk about anything related to videogame soundtracks.

Anyone want Killer Cuts?

Postby DoomRater on Sat Apr 26, 2008 10:08 pm

For those who don't know, Killer Cuts CD was released with copies of Killer Instinct for SNES. I'm sure it was some form of promotional but the tracks are basically extended mixes of all the music in the game. Some of them I don't like (especially the super remixed ones!) but the last half of the track is killer... sorry, I couldn't help but make that pun.

That said, does anyone think such music belongs in the Videogame Music Preservation Foundation? Or would this be a bad idea?

Oh oh, I ripped to FLAC already. I was just wondering if they belong in the VGMPF.

I would like the music itself.

However, the soundtrack probably won't belong in the VGMPF unless the music is exactly the same as the music in the game. If it's stylized, remixed, etc. then there are many other sites that hold that music, like Galbadia Hotel.

There are very few tracks which are tracked exactly the same as they are in the game, and even then they are made with higher quality samples.

I'll be updating this post as I upload more of the 7z archive....
