I find that it's easy to bend the pipes if you cap one end, then pour boiling water through it, cap the other end, shake it for a bit, then just bend it on your knee or something, i haven't tried this "heat gun" yet though.

Yep, Bracers. I think if they've got an elbow cop attached then they're called vambracers :)

umm... sorta, vambraces are made for melee people, boromirs are really cool. bracers were worn by archers who need to protect the in side of there bow arm from the string. even if you dry-fire my weak boffer bow it really hurts without one.

I've got it now, full sequence of plate armor for the arm. Gauntlets first then vambraces, followed by cowters that protect your elbows, then rebraces that are joined to the pauldrons (which in some cases are conected to the bevor or chest-plate).
got my swords photographed.

from the top, elven, Zar'roc, greatsword, celtic, uruk-hia, and falchion.
(not all my swords are in this picture)

and this is the first sword I made, i put a new layer of foam on it.

these are my short swords

and finally the dasterd sword with sheath.

is there any weapon that you herd of that you want to see?

the sheath is actually made of rolled up newspaper covered in ducttape with an empty tape roll at the bottom.
but I have a question,
have you designed swords with complex pictures (dragon's and stuff)? and if you do how?

long time since i changed this. but last week i found plans for making a fiberglass bow out of driveway reflectors (instuctibles). so i made one bow, and then i crafted a crossbow it is really powerful, shoots bolts up to seventy-five feet.pictures soon.

When I see pictures of these weapons, I feel very un-accomplished...

I'll have to post some of mine, they are very ugly compared to these but extremely durable. It's just pathetic, it's like comparing a hobo to a supermodel.

You guys are good.

When I used to work at a hardware store we had cellular pvc boards and moulding as well as standard PVC piping. The way we would heat the moulding was with a big tube, forcing hot air through with a heat gun (which you can get at most hardware stores) They get the consistancy of a wet noodle and can be formed into most any shape. Even tied into knots.
I suggested this in in another topic thread, when Darwin said it would be cheaper and just about as easy if you held it over the stove.
I don't use PVC for boffers much. I like carbon fiber better. So I might not be the best one to take advice from in this matter.
