The second picture's link goes to the 1 level game. The YouTube SMW hack isn't released yet, but the update was made less than a month ago so it's still active. I honestly can't wait for the hack either- looks like it'll be big and take at least a few hours to run through.

That game is so cool! Who makes this game? I don't think they'll be able to secure publishing rights since it's so close to the original, but as long as it's free it should do well.

Oh, silly me, not posting back to the original site. http://www.konjak.org Dude's got a few other original games plus has quite the resume as far as sprite work goes, so I'm betting he made all that himself.

(though I had hoped you'd find the link after beating the game)

I like it! Of course, being at work, I can't exactly play too far into the game. However, it does give me something fun to do on my lunch break.

I beat the first squid boss yesterday. I also picked up the ice rod just before getting killed by a bunch of mice zombies. They look so cute!

Beat the golem boss. I now have the sword, more magic, and level 6 across the board. This game is pretty cool!

If you have the frost sword you'll find a lot of grinding opportunities in second world along the way to the final castle. One of those caves down there is an arena! Just fill up on band-aids and grind through it- it's totally worth it to hit 20 on swords cuz then everything just goes so much faster.

Cool. I found a pretty good place to grind for money. The space two above your home. It has a bunch of bushes and bushes leave a lot of money and meat. I just use magic to blast through them all, then collect the money and meat. Almost have enough for the thunder shield.

Just got the double axe too!

I'm almost finished with the game... I have all of the equipment, I've seen most of the monsters, I even made it to the final boss the last time I played, but I couldn't beat him. I'll finish getting to level 20 in each category and then try him again.

Arena is perfect place to grind for experience. I hit level 21 (you can't get level 21 until everything hits level 20 though) and once any category is that high you can just spam and things will die, so if you wanna go that route I'd hit 21 on the sword first so that grinding through goes quickly for the other areas.
