So I herd u lyk pacificism

In the basic controls of your Bionic Commando Database, you noted how the bionic arm could be used aggressively. Hearing this, I suggested a pacifist run to my buddy, and he sounds like he's on his way to doing so.

Here's a less than perfect run of mission 5, as a sample: http://ca.youtube.com/watch?v=2csw5fZmnmg

That's freaking sweet! Now if only someone can do the same with Contra, but I'm pretty sure that'd be impossible.

Seeing the enemies again made me think of something, just what would possess someone to glue a helicopter on their butt? I'm pretty sure that's crazier than a duct taping yourself to a rocket or setting yourself on fire to jump on people.

That is awesome! There are a few areas where combat is necessary like the inside of area 1 with the laser barrier protecting the boss room, but most of the areas should be able to be finished without shooting anything except the main system.

As for Contra, this should also be possible. I think the tank in Snowfield, and obviously the barriers in the Bases, but most of the enemies can be avoided without force.

I ran straight to youtube to check out a run to see if it was plausible (because I've been playing the DS contra for so long now I can't remember the original >.<). I think it would have to take considerable prowess to dodge both the bullets and the bodies (never checked to see if the screen gets clogged with enemies or not). The thing I would find most difficult is the corridor sequence when you have guys, wall guns, and barrels to deal with as you're shooting the weak points. Not something I'd aspire to do, but the person that does it is probably going to get the nobel prize for pacifism. XD

P.S. Contra on the DS is really hard, and it borrows the bionic arm bit to latch onto ceilings. I'd place it s genuinely fun though.
