Made with 3/4" pvc, 5/8" pipe insulation. Shaped the guard with blue camp foam from Walmart and wrapped handle with black hockey tape. It is the best boffer i have made.

you use drills and clamps and hammers?

and although I will never applaud round blades, you do have reason to be proud of your craftsmanship. I might suggest connecting the guard and the pommel on your basket hilts, though. it may make them stronger in the long run.

Harvest has been bashed around for a good two years now. Thanks for the advice on the guard, but underneath is a nice plastic so it bounce back into shape if hit.
As for the drills and clamps and hammer, well I use them mostly when I'm armouring, metal seems to not fly around when clamped as I drill or hammer.

As for flatblades. I have always wanted to try it it is just that I have a whole case of the 5/8" foam lol. No seriously I have tried it but they came out looking like oars. I will try again when it warms up, the shop is a fridge right now and my forge is out of commission for the time being so no heat. Any tips you might have would be welcome.

at my field the standard is polyethylene pipe insulation around the core and then a half-pipe of insulation as the blade layer.

also, is it hard plastic in the basket hilts? seems like that might shatter...

Plastic is from a old rubber made lid, keeps it shape but has some flex. I was going to use barrel abs plastic but it seemed a bit thick, could shave some off though.

You have so much more equipment than I do. My father's garage would be perfect for weaponsmithing if I wanted to get into it as a business, but as it stands I would not be able to build such high quality weaponry without a lot of patience, which I do not have.

For my flat swords I actually cut down pool noodles with a band saw. It takes a bit of aiming and precision to cut em right, though.

Do you make shields?

I know that's probably a silly question but I still have to ask.

Yeah, I can make shields just need to know what you wanted. I use corrogated plastic for round shields and bucklers and i use plywood for heaters and kite shields. All are padded and the edging dressed in pipe insulation.

How much do you charge for your armor? and do you make any other kind of leather armor, such as studded leather? Something flexable but somewhat sturdy?

Yeah I make leather armor. The cost depends on what you want and what material are used. Shoot me an email for more info.
