I'll likely play a lot of Brawl in the time coming up. I also got a chance to see No More Heroes, but despite its awesomesauce beat-em-up action I want Brawl under my belt far more.

I've been playing Maple Story while my aches and pains heal up. What?! It's cheaper than WoW... <.<;;;

I've actually been looking into buying AW: Days of Ruin, does anybody know if it's any good? I keep getting mixed reviews about it A.) it's not like the prior games, so it sucks B.) It's got a bitchin' story and has a fun pace... I just want a game that isn't broken to the point where people pick the same character and throw the same wave to win--do you guys think this is what I want? The last turn-based strategy game I was really into was Conflict on the NES. I don't know about you guys, but that game was the shit, and totally made me want to play the Advance Wars series, however sadly my wallet did not. :/

It's either that or Pokemon Diamond, my girlfriend keeps telling me to buy that so she can feed her addiction and voice chat with me. O.o

Hey, any mental activity is better than possibly reinjuring yourself. I don't blame ya for jumping onto an MMO... just remember, you can quit at any time.... or CAN YOU...

There is also a turn based Advance Wars game on the internet if you wanted to play against other human people. Last I checked that was free.

Anyway, my nehpew is getting me to play Rise of Nations even though I haven't had the time to study it to get really good. See, he'll pick these games he's played 15 hours straight and then have me thrown into the mix from hour 1 and the difference in our skills will be apparent. It's also precisely why he won't play Kingdom Under Fire with me- I've had WAAAAY too much time to practice.

Soo, I'm gonna grab AvP2 and we'll play that, since I'm so tired of RTS's for the moment.

I seem to have found what you're talking about, but that's going to be awful hard to play on the crapper... Unless I can rig a series of mirrors and stretch my wireless mouse as far as it'l go.

The AvP games were good so far as I can tell, they had really fun elements with the uniqueness of each character to make the game fun. Plus I like the motion sensor's beeping. :P What I usually do when I buy fps games, is look online for all of the mods to see if they're any good to extend the life of the game. UT2k4 has some bitchin' mods, I totally suggest that game over the recent UT3 simply because it's cheaper and has much more fan-based internet love from the mod community at this point. Team fortress 2 would also be a fun get away from rts games, because it still uses the strategy and class elements that you'd be used to and gives you a brainless environment to blow things up at the same time.

And no, I can't quit Maple, the clown will beat me... <.<

Already own TF2 and loving it and the wacky classes. The Spy is my fave though I end up playing scout or assist engie (where you spawn as engie just to get other people's buildings finished and then go back to whatever class you were)

Since I also mod for ZDoom, that's one game I'll always have a mod base for. Think of ZDoom as Doom with every modern enhancement you can think of without changing monster logic or game physics too much.

Rad!

Battleship forever is another game I've been using to pass the time. It's one of those independent games that seems to shine in my opinion. It's a tactical space battle game in real time, so you're probably already burnt out on this sort of game. :P Still great though, I can't wait until they add more stuff to the game, because it's still in progress.

No, not really, just waiting for Dean here to finish work on Space Cowboy.

Edit: You know I have so much stuff sitting in my games and utilities folder that I'm gonna need to organize and sort everything by genre pretty soon...

ACTION DOOM 2: URBAN BRAWL

http://action.mancubus.net

It's pretty epic. And the $10 artwork and jewel case is actually tempting me...

Wishing I could play Bionic Commando: Rearmed, but I need a new videocard. :-(

Should have one soon though.

Curent list of games:
Zeno Clash (I loved Action Doom 2 so sure, why not get another first person beat-em-up?)
SHIFT 4
Shotgun Frenzy
Battalion series (Nemesis was an awesome Advance Wars clone, and Skirmish just makes me want the online multiplayer version that much more)
